Day Trip Tours

There are so many places to explore around the Western Cape.

The ones that stand out and are known most nationally and internationally are Table Mountian, Robben Island, V&A Waterfront, Franschhoek, Paarl and the list can go on and on, but where else can you go? What else is there to see?

With these DAY TRIP TOURS you will experience more local scenes as well as the internationally listed ones. The routes are full-day tours that will take you along the coastlines or inland. You'll travel over Mountain Passes and through vineyards. Every town has its own charm, stories and history.

These tours include your transport, a snack and water for the journey. You determine your budget for the day depending on the route and the sites that can be visited.

Have a look at the routes and e-mail me for a more tailor-made itinerary.

Elgin, Dassiesfontein and Clarence Drive

To add Elgin to this Day Tour, it is best to book over a weekend, however, it still makes for a full day tour if Elgin Market is closed during the week.

After feeding the donkeys at Dassiesfontein, Clarens drive takes you along the ocean and we stop to take in the views, fresh air, good eats and visit the penguins of Betty's Bay.

Camps Bay, Hout Bay, Chapmans Peak

A Day Tour for something fishy.

Camps bay is set against the Twelve Apostel buttresses of Table Mountain and lends to a great breakfast and walk on the beach to the start of this day.

Houtbay has a few places to visit, depending on your interest. The World of Birds is one of the largest walk-through aviaries. A few shops in Hout Bay serve for a quick browse. There are charter boats that take you out to Seal Island (Duiker Island) which is worth it; especially if there are dolphins that swim alongside the boat.

Some of the best fish and chips can be bought as a takeaway lunch at Fish on the Rocks, at Karbonkelberg!

Weather permitting, Chapmans Peak Drive will allow for breathtaking views along the ocean to Kommetjie with its azure blue waters and Noordhoek. Silvermine Drive concludes this day and a last coffee or sundowner stop can be added at La Parada in Constantia.
